Power Flow Yoga

This 60-minute class is a lively, invigorating class, perfect for those looking to lose weight or build strength and endurance. Each class will incorporate strength, flexibility, balance, cardio and stamina building. Expect a great cardiovascular and strength building workout with breath work

Yin Yoga

This wonderful, slow-paced 60-minute class focuses on increasing flexibility and relaxation.  This is a non-weight bearing style of practice perfect for all-levels, for those that prefer a less vigorous practice, and those recovering from injury. It is the perfect compliment to a strong flow practice (the perfect "post-power flow" class) and other athletics and provides an opportunity for stress relief and stillness.

Tuff-N-Up Fitness Bootcamp is a non-intimidating atmosphere designed for any fitness level; from beginners just entering the fitness world to the elite fitness buff that just needs a change in their daily routine. We will help you stay accountable, offer guidance, motivation, fun, and support as you strive for your goal! A group training atmosphere allows you to surround yourself with positive energy and adds an element of fun to help achieve your goals, while encouraging and supporting others to reach their goals.  So bust the excuse of “no time” and “no motivation” with a high energy, fat burning circuit workout. Our high intensity training mixed with our “TUFF” love approach will have you experience new ways to get fit and have fun.

ABOUT YANG STYLE TAI CHI, Simplified 24-Form
In 1956, the Chinese Sports Committee recognized the need to provide exercise for the physical and mental well-being of the general population of factory and office workers in a modern industrial state. The Committee assembled a team of four Taiji instructors who were given the task of developing an effective, yet easy-to-learn exercise routine.
They created Simplified 24-Form Yang Style Taiji, a routine that takes about six minutes to perform, is easy and quick to learn, and has the desired health benefits. It is based on the Yang Style Long Form which has 108 moves, and despite being distilled down to only 24 moves, practitioners experience the essential elements and traditional flavour of Taijiquan.
Actively promoted by the People's Republic of China as a general health exercise since the 1950s, Simplified 24-Form Yang Style Taiji is today's most widely practiced Taiji both in China and throughout the world.

Nathan's Bio: 

Nathan began dance in his early 20's, seeking an escape from the humdrum of grad student life. Coming from a very math and engineering background, he took it as an opportunity to expand his horizons and meet people outside of his usual spheres. Wouldn't you know it, within weeks of trying it he fell in love with the music and the community, and within months he had joined the organizing committees. Nowadays, you can find Nathan teaching in multiple studios and runs weekly dances in the Exchange District and host regular live music events. 


Swing Dance is:

Swing is a type of dance and music that developed in the halls of New York in the early 1920's, and was part of the broader movement known as the Harlem Renaissance. Many styles emerged, such as lindyhop, jive, charleston, jitterbug, shim sham, just to name a few. This class will focus on either a jive or lindyhop style, with perhaps some elements on Charleston mixed in depending on interest.

Refund and Cancellation Policy:


A minimum number of participants is required to hold classes. When registration is below the minimum amount required by the instructor, Niverville Recreation reserves the right to cancel the program with participants receiving full refund or credit (less convenience fees). It is highly recommended that you pre-register as early as possible to avoid programs being cancelled due to lack of enrollment. All other refunds will have a minimum $10 processing charge per cancellation requested.


Refund requests must be completed prior to the registration deadline for the class. There will be NO refunds after the registration deadline.
