Niverville Youth Baseball

We provide the opportunity for children ages 4 to 18 to play baseball at various levels of competition. Weather depending, the season starts with practices in April, games starting in May and the community level baseball ending in June and provincial baseball ending in July.

Age categories:

Ages 4 - 6 (boys and girls). Rally Cap  - Wednesdays. Basic skills program in Niverville, no travel outside the community.

Boys baseball part of the Carillon league . Note that we do allow girls to play on the boys teams and that girls are allowed to play one year down from their respective age category.
Ages 7 - 9        Grand Slam -  Mondays, Wednesdays and some Saturdays
Ages 10 - 11     Mosquitoes - Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays some Saturdays
Ages 12 - 13     Pee Wee - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, some Thursdays and some Saturdays
Ages 14 - 15     Bantam - Tuesdays, Thursdays and some Saturdays
Ages 16 - 18     Midget - Mondays, Thursdays and some Saturdays

Girls Softball part of the South East Girls Fastball league.
Ages 7  - 8    Mini-Mites - Mondays and Wednesdays.
Ages 9 - 10   Mites - Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Ages 11 - 12  Squirts - Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Ages 13 - 14  Pee Wee - Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Ages 15 - 16 Bantam - Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Ages 17 - 18 Midget - Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Curling Rink Ice Maintainer - Contract Proposal

The Town of Niverville is seeking contract proposals for an Ice maintainer for the Niverville Curling Rink for the 2019 season.  The Niverville Curling Rink is a three-sheet facility with natural ice, operating 3 evenings per week (Tuesday – Thursday) from January 2rd through March 2nd. Additional curling events may include the following: one Friday night curling activity, one weekend bonspiel, one weekend playoffs, and approximately 5 high school daytime curling slots.  Depending on weather conditions, the service contract may be either reduced or extended to meet recreational service expectations.

Proposals should include the following information: 

  • Previous ice making experience
  • Weekly time commitment required for optimal ice conditions
  • Plan for special events or additional ice bookings, functions and rentals
  • Weekly cost to be charged to the Town of Niverville for the service proposal


Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of both quality of service delivery and cost for the service.  A contract for services will be offered to the candidate who best meets the Town’s objectives in both ice services and costs.  A detailed job description is available on the Town website at  (Latest News) or can be picked up from the Town Office at 86 Main Street, Niverville.

Hosted by the Friends of the CRC and Von Ast Construction, this is an opportunity for area residents to view proposed conceptual design, ask questions about the design and see what has been going on. The Committee and Von Ast ask for your feedback one last time on the conceptual layout.


The next step following this Open House will be to move into engineered drawings, choose the finishes and submit our application to the Provincial and Federal Governments for consideration.


We look forward to seeing you there as we move one step closer to realization of this generational project for Niverville and the region!

Summer Employment Opportunity

The Town of Niverville is now accepting applications for a Summer Camp Assistant to work during the months of July and August.


Position Overview:

  • Position will require split shift flexibility;

  • Hours will be Monday to Friday, with varied shifts for an estimated 25-40 hours per week.


Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with the Summer Day Camp Program;

  • Leading daily activities with children;

  • Supervising and providing leadership for children participating in the program; and

  • Administrative and other duties as assigned.

A satisfactory Child Abuse Registry check is a condition of employment.  Applicants must be at least 16 years of age and have a valid social insurance number.  Preference will be given to Niverville Residents.
