Sound Lab MINI Gym- How does your Heart Beat?

Tuesdays January 16- February 20

Sound Lab Mini Gym

Ages 2-5 years

Time: 4:00-5:00 PM

Cost: $72

 

This program is for parents/guardians with children 5 and under. Observe and engage them in how they play and pick up instruments. This age group does really well at sound lab! This may also be the one place you encourage your children to touch all the buttons and make all the noise, while you socialize with other parents in the quietest music program.

Sound Lab Gym- How does your Heart Beat?

Tuesdays January 16- February 20

Sound Lab Gym

Ages 6+ to Adults
Time: 5:30-6:30 PM
Cost: $72
 
In this program participants get to play and learn a variety of instruments. Improve dexterity, memory, mood, and creativity. Each participant will be able to play drums, guitar, bass, keyboards and vocals. Each session is primarily played while wearing head phones, in the last quarter of the hour participants will be encouraged and conducted to
play together live. In addition to regularly scheduled program there is “The “Roadie” program, this is for tech curious participants who will be allowed to learn how to set up the various equipment, tune guitars/bass and learn about sound controls, these tutorials will take place half an hour prior to Sound Lab, and allows participants more time with equipment. There is no additional charge for this portion of the program.

Home Alone Program

The Home Alone Program is designed to provide children of 9 years of age and older with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time. It will help them understand how to prevent problems, handle real-life situations, and keep them safe and constructively occupied.

 

The program focuses on small group discussions, problem solving, role-playing, and instructor-led demonstrations. The Student Reference Book is designed to allow the program participants to actively participate in class assignments. It provide a review of the program material, as well as additional information that will be of value to the students.

Canadian Red Cross Babysitting Course

 

Saturday February 3, 2018

Ages 11+

Time: 9:00-4:00

Cost: $50/Child

The Babysitting Course includes all the useful and reliable educational and safety information for pre-teens and teens. This course is a nationally recognized program designed to help participants develop self-assurance, knowledge, and the skills required for babysitting duties and when being alone at home.
Must be 11 years old or older
Please bring:
-Lunch
-Pen/Pencil
-Paper
-Manual (students will receive their manual and pre-course assignment when they register)
-Medium size doll (Don’t worry, there are extra dolls if you don’t have one)

Move & Groove Night

This Common Ground & Niverville Recreation have created a physical activity opportunity for Children in & around Niverville who have physical, developmental or behavioural disabilities.

 

April 6 from 6:30-8:00pm at the 4th Ave Bible Church Basement (fully accessible). The first ½ hour will be an organized activity, suitable for a variety of skill levels/adapted abilities.
 
The second ½ hour will be movement through music, using family-friendly videos and lyrics. The final ½ hour will be a snack and socializing time, a chance to cool down and connect!
